Janette Hayhoe

Biography

Janette Hayhoe is a Toronto-born oil painter who works in the classical realist style. She has a BA from Queen's University, Canada and a diploma in design from The International Academy of Design.

Studies in classical realist painting and drawing began in Canada and continued in France at L'Ecole Albert Dufois  under the master painter, Ted Seth Jacobs. Janette works in oil creating representational style portraits, still lives, landscapes and figurative works. Her work appears in private collections in Canada, the United kingdom, Hong Kong and the United States and she is represented by galleries in Toronto and Montreal.

Janette splits her time between painting in the southern Loire Valley of France and teaching at Art Works Art School in Toronto. Having painted in our region of France for many years, Janette knows how the light and seasons work here. She will share her knowledge and her favourite painting spots with course participants.
